A Surrey road became impassable due to flooding after a river overflowed its banks. Lower Eashing, a route connecting to the A3, was obstructed by water from the River Wey on Friday morning. By approximately 08:45 GMT, vehicles were observed navigating the road, despite a considerable amount of surface water still present. The inundation was situated on the south side of a bridge crossing the river in Eashing. The traffic monitoring service Inrix had earlier reported that the thoroughfare was “impassable” in both directions. Earlier in the week, flood warnings had been issued across the country, following two storms that brought significant rainfall and disruption. For updates, follow BBC Surrey on Facebook and X.
