A planning application has been lodged for the construction of 15 new residential properties in Burgh Le Marsh. While prior planning permission had been secured for four detached and three semi-detached houses off Skegness Road, these plans have since been updated to incorporate additional dwellings into the scheme. Burgh Pastures Limited, the entity behind the application, stated that the proposed development would be “in keeping with the character of the locality”. The updated housing proposals, presented to East Lindsey District Council, indicate that the residences are intended for the southeast corner of the plot and to the north of the field fronting Ingoldmells Road. As reported by the Local Democracy Reporting Service, Burgh Pastures Limited obtained planning consent in May 2022 for the erection of four detached and three semi-detached houses, along with a distinct permission for a single house situated opposite Skegness Road. The project also entails the creation of an access road and two wildlife ponds off Skegness Road. The applicant affirmed that all dwellings would feature a distinct design and, in their accompanying statement, characterized the site as an appropriate location. They further asserted, “The proposal will have no adverse amenity impacts and will be in keeping with the character of the locality.”
