According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, Sporting manager Ruben Amorim has reached an agreement to take on the role of Manchester United’s next manager, following Erik ten Hag’s dismissal on Monday. The Sun, however, indicates that former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic is considered a leading candidate for Manchester United, subsequent to Thomas Tuchel’s appointment as England boss. ESPN reports that Brentford manager Thomas Frank is also among the potential successors to Ten Hag being evaluated by Manchester United. Sky Sports states that “The Red Devils” have compiled a shortlist of approximately five managers who are being considered to replace Ten Hag. The Manchester Evening News also suggests that United has not dismissed the possibility of approaching Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, particularly if the club’s options are limited to appointing a free agent. Separately, Portuguese publication A Bola reports Manchester United’s interest in Sporting’s 17-year-old Portuguese midfielder, Geovany Quenda.
