Former Premier League midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has expressed skepticism regarding Chelsea’s ability to challenge for the league title this season, though he identifies them as strong contenders for a top-four finish. Chelsea currently holds third place in the league standings, tied on 25 points with second-placed Arsenal. Both clubs are nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool. Speaking on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily podcast, Reo-Coker remarked, “I don’t see them forcing themselves into a title argument.” He further asserted, “But they are definitely up there in that top four conversation.” Reo-Coker continued his assessment, observing that “They look like a team now – they look really good. They do still have moments of vulnerabilities, but their attacking power is scary. They have so many options.” Michael Brown, an ex-Manchester City midfielder, also offered his perspective: “It is good to see smiles back on faces at Chelsea because there has been a lot of rubbish for a long time. It is a group of really exciting young players and they just need to get a bit more confidence and maturity.” He concluded, “They are playing in a well-balanced system and they are not going away so I give them full credit.” Post navigation Chris Sutton’s Premier League Match Predictions: Wolves vs. Crystal Palace Late Goal Secures 1-1 Draw for Hearts Against Hibernian
