A proposal has been submitted for the construction of a 29-story residential building comprising over 400 apartments, situated close to Sheffield railway station. The development scheme was presented by developers for an unoccupied triangular parcel of land located at the former British Rail Club sports ground, specifically on Farm Road. Additionally, the plans incorporate communal gardens, a shared workspace, and roof gardens. Planning documentation indicates that Sheffield City Council is anticipated to render a decision regarding this project on January 29. The Local Democracy Reporting Service reported that while only five vehicle parking spaces are designated for the development, 413 bicycle storage spots are planned. Out of the total number of flats, 206 are projected to be one-bedroom apartments, with the remaining units comprising a combination of two and three-bedroom residences. According to the developers, the specific site previously secured planning approval for a 23-story structure containing 336 flats.
