Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho has confirmed he will return to the touchline for the upcoming match against Norwich on Tuesday, having observed his team’s victory over Bristol City from the TV gantry. The manager of ‘Pompey’ was compelled to watch Saturday’s 3-0 win from an alternative vantage point due to a one-match touchline suspension, which he incurred after receiving three cautions this season. Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Mousinho described the experience: “It was a different experience and aided by the fact we won the game it became a more pleasant experience than some games can be, and it was a different perspective.” He also acknowledged the dual nature of such a position, stating, “Head coaches and managers probably get the best view if they’re sat up in the directors box or up in the gantry but unfortunately there are drawbacks to it in terms of not actually being close to the pitch, not being involved.” Assistant head coach Jon Harley assumed control from the technical area at Fratton Park. Mousinho expressed complete confidence in his team’s ability, adding, “I didn’t feel any nervousness about not being on the touchline as the lads knew their jobs and knew what we were going to do based on what we’d been working on in the week.” Post navigation Aberdeen 4-1 Dundee: Key Player Contributions Claudio Ranieri’s Return to Roma: Why a ‘Roman’ Touch is Deemed Essential for the Club
