Some employees at Jersey Airport have been made redundant following a requirement for them to reapply for their jobs. Ports of Jersey has restructured the operational framework for certain staff, consolidating all public-facing personnel, such as security staff and other assistants, into a single department. The department stated that this change is intended to enhance the airport’s efficiency and improve the experience for travelers. Individuals who opted not to apply for the newly defined roles have been provided with redundancy packages. The organization reported that fewer than 10 people chose to depart.
