A police facility was made inaccessible to the public due to concerns of a potential explosion after an item was brought onto the premises. Dorset Police stated that the object, discovered in the Canford Cliffs area, was transported to the Poole station on Wimborne Road shortly after 10:00 GMT. The inquiries office was cordoned off and remained so until an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team arrived to remove the item. Law enforcement officials later confirmed that the object was not explosive, and the building subsequently fully reopened. You can follow BBC Dorset on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.
