A residence in South Yorkshire was the site of a seizure involving hundreds of cannabis plants, estimated to be valued at over £400,000. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to Psalters Lane in Ferham, Rotherham, on Thursday, following reports of an individual behaving suspiciously outside a specific property. According to South Yorkshire Police, the property’s door had been forcibly opened, revealing over 400 plants cultivated throughout the first floor and the loft area. The police force indicated that the electricity supply within the house was believed to have been illegally bypassed. The plants were subsequently confiscated and destroyed. Police reported that the individual had previously been confronted by a neighbour, after which he departed the location. Investigations into the incident are ongoing. Inspector John Crapper, from South Yorkshire Police, characterized illegal drugs as a “scourge on our societies”. He further commented: “Cannabis is not a harmless drug – it funds criminality which wreaks misery on our local communities and this needs to stop.” Post navigation Minehead Police Station Opens, Designed for Modern Policing Needs Fatal Incident in York Prompts Murder Investigation
