Police Seek Witnesses Following Fatal Road Collision

Police are requesting witnesses and dashcam footage following a road collision that resulted in a man’s death. Officers were dispatched to the A131 Braintree Road in Halstead, Essex, just before 11:00 GMT on Saturday, after receiving reports of a single-vehicle incident. A man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the force. Police stated, “Anyone who was in the area at the time, and has not yet spoken to officers, is asked to check their dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that would help them.” The A131 experienced a temporary closure in both directions, specifically between Halstead and the A120, as emergency services managed the situation.
