Authorities are searching for two individuals in connection with a suspected arson incident at a commercial property in Shropshire. West Mercia Police reported that the fire commenced around 00:45 GMT on Thursday, affecting a structure on Shropshire Street, Market Drayton, which was undergoing conversion into a barber’s shop. Inspector Mark Musgrove confirmed that no injuries were sustained. However, he stated that the fire resulted in “significant damage” and is being investigated as arson with intent to endanger life. The force indicated that the suspects, described as wearing dark coloured tracksuits, were observed in the vicinity at the time of the incident before departing towards the town centre. Police have issued an appeal for witnesses. A spokesperson further noted that information can be provided directly to the force or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
