Law enforcement officials are working to ascertain the identity of a female pedestrian who died after being struck by a van on a highway access ramp. The pedestrian was hit by a white Renault Trucks Master van near the conclusion of an entry ramp leading to the A47, specifically at Saddlebow in King’s Lynn, around 21:55 GMT on Sunday. Norfolk Police has disseminated images of the woman’s attire, hoping that relatives or acquaintances will recognize them. Detective Inspector Dave McCormack stated: “We need to let this woman’s family know what has happened and I would urge anyone with any information to contact us.” Descriptions of the deceased indicate she was of slender physique, approximately 5ft 5in (1.7m) in height, and had shoulder-length auburn and purple hair. Her clothing included light blue denim jeans, a dark blue hooded zip-up top, a Primark green wax-style coat with a fur hood, and black and purple steel toe-capped trainers. The thoroughfare was shut down while emergency personnel, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene, and it was subsequently reopened around 02:20. The police force reiterated its call for anyone possessing relevant information to come forward.
