Law enforcement authorities are endeavoring to locate the rightful proprietors of two Chinese guardian lion statues, which are suspected to be stolen. These two unique sculptures were discovered subsequent to Avon and Somerset Police receiving an alert regarding unusual activity at a disused plant nursery situated in Bitton, South Gloucestershire. Police personnel responded to the premises off Brewery Hill at approximately 12:30 BST on 24 October, following a notification concerning individuals observed on the roof of a metallic edifice. At the location, two individuals asserted they possessed the owner’s authorization and provided their personal information to the police. Nevertheless, during a subsequent inspection of the remainder of the premises, officers uncovered what authorities characterized as “a quantity” of equestrian equipment, encompassing blankets and helmets, which was confirmed to be stolen merchandise. Avon and Somerset Police stated that these particular items had already been given back to their legitimate owners, but the force continued its search for the proprietor of the decorative statues, which are believed to have been illicitly acquired. The public is urged to contact the police force if they possess any details concerning unusual occurrences at the location or if they can identify the statues.
