Law enforcement is searching for the owner of two “dangerous” dogs that are currently at large, one of which attempted to bite a man and his dog. The animals, which South Yorkshire Police described as bull breeds, approached a man walking his dog in a field located behind allotments on Avenue Road in Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham, on Wednesday, November 6. Officers reported that one of the dogs, characterized as large-built, white, and having brown patches, tried to bite both the man and his pet. Police indicated their intention to locate the dogs’ owner or anyone with knowledge of the animals’ whereabouts since the incident. A force spokesperson stated that the dogs are believed to have run towards the allotments following the attack. Officers also appealed for individuals with CCTV footage covering the area to come forward.
