A woman was sexually assaulted, and six individuals were pushed from their bicycles by a group suspected of using a moped or motorbike. Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information following these multiple offenses that occurred in Bristol last week. These incidents occurred in the city’s south and east between 3 and 5 December, with most reports originating from Feeder Road. Authorities stated that a woman was sexually assaulted in adjacent Netham Park by three unidentified men on a moped on Wednesday. The subsequent day, a man pushed from his bicycle on Feeder Road by a comparable group suffered a broken collar bone. Inspector Thomas Tooth of Bristol East Neighbourhood Policing reported no related incidents since 5 December, but affirmed that police “remain vigilant” and consider all incidents to be linked. He stated, “Officers from our Neighbourhood Policing Team and local patrol teams are focussing their patrols in Feeder Road and surrounding areas to provide reassurance to the public and work is ongoing to gather intelligence and information to help identify the offenders.” He further added, “Officers will continue to work alongside colleagues from the local authority as part of the investigation to gather and review CCTV. We will also be ensuring that the appropriate support is in place for all victims.” He encouraged anyone involved in a similar incident to contact police “immediately” to provide authorities with a “full picture of offending” and “maximise all investigative opportunities.” Individuals possessing dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage are requested to contact the police, or to dial 999 if an incident is currently in progress.
