Law enforcement officials have reported that a fish and chip shop sustained “significant damage” on Sunday morning due to smashed windows. Guernsey Police has launched an appeal for public assistance following the incident at Northside Chip Shop, situated on Northside Side in Vale. Officers indicated that the event took place shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, and individuals possessing information or relevant dashcam camera footage are requested to contact the police. The proprietors of the shop shared on social media that “every window to the whole front of our building have been smashed so all boarded up until we get it all sorted, but we’re still here to trade nothing is going to keep us down”.
