Authorities are seeking the individual who was operating a small red vehicle following an incident in Fife where a pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision. Law enforcement officers responded to the location of the incident, specifically at the intersection of Winifred Street and Hendry Road in Kirkcaldy, around 5:50 PM on Wednesday. A male individual, aged 54, was transported to Victoria Hospital due to the serious nature of his injuries. Investigators are requesting public assistance to locate the motorist of the vehicle, who departed the site of the collision prior to the arrival of police personnel. Sergeant Tom Aitken stated: “Our inquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information which could assist to contact us. I would also ask anyone who was in this area around the time and who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV that may help to get in touch.”
