Law enforcement officials have once again requested public assistance in locating three individuals sought in connection with the homicide of a man in Leeds. Jamie Meah, aged 18, sustained fatal stab wounds during an assault on Hall Lane, Armley, on March 31, 2023. A 16-year-old also suffered serious injuries from stab wounds during the same event. It is believed that three men identified as suspects in this matter departed the UK soon after the incident. West Yorkshire Police launched this updated appeal coinciding with the first birthday of Mr. Meah’s son, who was not yet born when his father died. In a released statement, Mr. Meah’s family expressed that the “heartache of losing Jamie is something that continues to stay with us every day” since his passing. They further stated: “Today is the first birthday of his son and while this is a cause for celebration it is also, for us, a painful reminder that Jamie is not here to be a part of his son’s life, and never will be.“Although he is just still a baby, at some point in his life he will want to know where his dad is and what happened to him, and it breaks our hearts to think about that.” During April, Ranei Wilks, 23, of Leeds, faced charges in court for Mr. Meah’s murder and the attempted murder of the 16-year-old victim. Nevertheless, authorities are still working to locate Caleb Awe, 22, Aquade Jeffers, 21, and Enham Nishat, 21, all of whom have been previously identified as suspects in this investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Damian Roebuck commented: “We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to trace Jeffers, Awe and Nishat and remain determined to keep doing everything we can to get justice for Jamie and his family.” He added: “We would urge anyone who has information that could assist the investigation to consider what the family are going through and pass that on to us.” Post navigation Police officers dismissed following offensive WhatsApp group messages Elderly Woman Dies Following Suspected Hit-and-Run Incident
