Police Release CCTV Images Following Serious Sexual Assault in Nottingham Park

Law enforcement officials have made public surveillance camera footage showing an individual they wish to interview following a grave sexual assault on a young woman within a Nottingham park. According to Nottinghamshire Police, the incident occurred at approximately 03:00 GMT on Saturday, when the victim was assaulted in Victoria Park, situated near Bath Street in Sneinton. The police force stated that it is actively investigating several leads and has urged anyone possessing relevant information to get in touch with detectives. It was also mentioned that the victim is receiving assistance from specialized officers. Detective Sergeant Barry Haines, from Nottinghamshire Police, issued a statement: “I’d like to thank members of the public who have already assisted our investigation into this serious incident.” He added, “Our inquiries are continuing and we now want to identify the man pictured.” Furthermore, Det Sgt Haines expressed, “We believe people who know this man will recognise him from these images.” The police force also indicated that it has increased its presence through patrols in the vicinity to “reassure the community,” while clarifying that it does not perceive a broader danger to the general public.
