Authorities conducting an inquiry into the demise of a young woman due to a traffic incident in south London this past August have issued a renewed call for witnesses. Carolina Ramirez Jimenez, aged 23, was riding as a pillion passenger on a Yamaha motorbike when she was discovered injured on Silverthorne Road in Battersea. She was transported to a hospital suffering from a severe head injury, which subsequently proved fatal. Law enforcement officials have stated that no other vehicles potentially involved in the occurrence, which took place at 02:30 BST on August 1, have been located. Two individuals, aged 23 and 34, were apprehended on suspicion of various motoring offences, including the charge of causing death by dangerous driving. They have since been released on bail while the investigation continues. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated that the force has been “carrying out a range of further enquiries since it happened”. During a renewed appeal for witnesses issued on Saturday, detectives implored anyone present in the vicinity at the time who might have observed the motorbike or a dark-colored Range Rover, or who possesses dash cam footage, to contact them.
