The family of a man who died after a stabbing has released a heartfelt tribute, describing him as their “son, a father, husband, and playmate”. Bedfordshire Police initiated a murder investigation after the incident occurred in Brereton Road, off Midland Road in Bedford, shortly before 03:00 GMT on 5 November. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Patrice Che, a resident of Bedford. His mother stated: “With my eyes filled with tears, I am deeply saddened by the passing of my pearl”. She continued: “Patrice is his name, but I called him Pat—my son, a father, husband, and playmate. “As you journey beyond your home, I pray that your next steps are peaceful.
