Police have identified a teenager who died following a stabbing incident in a village. Hampshire police reported that Tawana Choruma, aged 19, was discovered injured on Station Road in Netley just before 18:30 GMT on Wednesday and subsequently passed away at that location. Three males, all 18 years old and from the Southampton vicinity, have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. One of these individuals also faces an arrest for suspected possession of stolen goods. A spokesperson for the police stated: “Tawana’s family are being supported by specialist officers at this time.” The force indicated that a 36-year-old woman from Southampton was apprehended on suspicion of assisting an offender; however, no subsequent proceedings are being pursued regarding that particular charge. This woman was additionally arrested for possessing a class B drug with intent to supply and for possessing an imitation firearm with the intent to instill fear of violence. She has since been granted bail. Furthermore, the spokesman appealed to local residents to inspect their refuse bins for a mobile phone that may have been disposed of in the vicinity.
