Law enforcement officials are seeking public assistance following a report of a home invasion by three armed individuals who entered a residence, extensively searched the property, and stole food. The occupants were present at the Melbourne Road, Grantham, property when the incident occurred on Thursday, shortly before 17:40 GMT. Authorities have indicated they are investigating a potential connection between this burglary and two other occurrences reported in the same town earlier that day. According to the force, a teenage boy experienced a knifepoint robbery at 16:20, and subsequently, at 17:35, three men committed a separate aggravated burglary on Christchurch Road. Officers reported that the teenage boy was menaced with a knife by an individual on Eton Street, who then took his bag and mobile phone. The assailant was described as a white, bald man, approximately 6ft (182cm) in height, aged between 20 and 30, and dressed in a black tracksuit. He was accompanied by two other individuals, and they departed towards a McDonald’s establishment. Shortly thereafter, a report was received detailing that three men broke a glass pane in the door of a residence on Christchurch Road, but they retreated after being confronted by an occupant. The police did not disclose the specific types of weapons employed during the forced entries into the two residences. A representative for the force stated that all three events were “concerning and would have been incredibly frightening for the people involved.” Individuals possessing any information, CCTV, or dashcam recordings captured between 16:15 and 17:45 are urged to reach out to the force or the charity Crimestoppers, which offers an anonymous reporting option.
