Authorities are conducting an inquiry following an incident where red paint was splashed across several shop fronts and apartment entrances within Bradford city centre. The act of vandalism occurred during the night on Rawson Place, situated close to the Oastler Shopping Centre, and is being classified as criminal damage. In addition to the red paint, the word “borthel” and various numbers were spray-painted in black on two windows, one of which belongs to the unit housing the Bradford Dementia Hub. While the motivation behind this incident remains undetermined, it is not thought that the hub itself was the specific target. Sinead Cregan, representing Inspire North, the organization responsible for operating the hub on behalf of Bradford Council, stated: “The only thing I can tell you is that there is red paint on the windows and we are cleaning it. “We are not involved with the flats. We rent the units the hub is based in. “The staff are fine and it’s business as usual as we have got a service to run.” A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that the occurrence was reported earlier today. She further noted: “The incident is being treated as criminal damage which is believed to have happened sometime overnight.”We will be investigating, but are waiting to interview the owner of the flats.” AMHC City Apartments, the entity responsible for managing the affected properties, verified its awareness of the event. The apartments are promoted online and offer self check-in options, along with continuous 24-hour access.
