Police are seeking public assistance as they conduct an investigation into the murder of a man in Illogan, Cornwall. Devon & Cornwall Police stated that ambulance services were summoned to an address on Bosmeor Park early on Tuesday morning, following reports of a seriously injured man. Authorities confirmed that the man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene, and his next of kin have been informed. Det Insp Rob Smith, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, commented: “If there is anyone who has not yet spoken with our officers and has any information, CCTV, or doorbell footage from in and around the immediate area of Bosmeor Park, we would ask them to please get in touch.” Three individuals – a 61-year-old woman and two men aged 22 and 38 – have been apprehended on suspicion of murder. Officers reported that these individuals remain in police custody, are all local to the area, and are believed to have known each other. A separate woman, aged 32, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has since been released under investigation. Det Insp Rob Smith, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, mentioned that the team is “keeping an open mind” regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident. He added: “We would also urge people not to speculate on social media about the circumstances around this matter.” The force indicated that a heightened police presence should be expected in the vicinity as inquiries continue.
