Authorities have disseminated CCTV footage in an effort to locate three individuals after an assault during a street altercation resulted in a man being placed in a coma. The confrontation occurred between three men and a separate group of individuals in Scarborough’s Westborough district, specifically between 23:20 GMT and 23:35 GMT on November 8. A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police stated that one man, who is in his 30s, sustained a punch to the face from one of the three men, which was described as “causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the floor”. An ambulance transported him to the hospital, where he was subsequently put into an induced coma and is currently undergoing treatment for severe head trauma. The trio of men was proceeding along Westborough, heading towards the Lord Rosebery Pub, when they reportedly initiated a fight with a group of men and women who were walking in the vicinity of the Mountain Warehouse store.
