Plymouth Argyle forward Mustapha Bundu contributed to Sierra Leone’s 1-1 draw with Chad in their recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. The 27-year-old started the match, which took place in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, and played for over an hour. Sierra Leone gained a 29th-minute lead from an Abu Diaby penalty, but Chad’s Mahamat Thiam scored the equalizer five minutes later. Sierra Leone is currently positioned third in its four-team qualifying group, having secured five points from five games. To maintain any realistic prospects of qualification, they require group leaders Cote d’Ivoire to defeat second-placed Zambia on Friday. Separately, Argyle’s young player Freddie Issaka provided an assist, helping Wales Under-19’s achieve a 1-0 victory over Scotland in their European Championship qualifier.
