Police have confirmed the death of a pedestrian who sustained serious injuries in a collision on a major West Sussex road earlier in December. The collision, which involved a 75-year-old man from Worthing and a Mercedes Vito van, occurred on 6 December at approximately 16:10 GMT. It took place on the A27 Crockhurst Hill, close to its intersection with the A24 Offington roundabout. The individual was transported to a hospital with injuries initially described as life-threatening and subsequently passed away on Thursday, as reported by Sussex Police. His family has been notified. The driver of the van did not sustain any injuries. Officers are currently investigating the complete circumstances surrounding the incident and are requesting any relevant information or dashcam footage from the public.
