Passenger Witnesses Volcanic Eruption from Aircraft Window

A traveler reported that her “life has peaked” after observing a volcanic eruption in Iceland from her airplane window while en route for a vacation. Kayleigh Patter, 22, from Bedford, captured the remarkable event on her phone on Thursday, shortly before her flight landed, marking the beginning of her four-day trip with her boyfriend. She stated: “It’s not something I’d ever thought I’d get to see. I did well-up a little bit, but it was just breathtaking. “It has made me more excited for the whole trip. We’ve already seen Northern Lights and are currently on a boat to go whale watching so I’ll come home very content.”
