Police have reported that one individual was transported to a hospital following a collision involving four vehicles on the A30 in Cornwall, which occurred amidst icy conditions. Devon and Cornwall Police stated that officers were dispatched to the scene of the crash, located near the Jamaica Inn, at approximately 07:00 GMT. A road closure was implemented on the east-bound carriageway, but officers confirmed that the lanes were reopened around 10:20 GMT. The police force indicated that the injuries sustained by the person taken to hospital were not considered to be “life-threatening or life-changing”. Officers mentioned receiving reports of icy and slippery conditions in the area, adding that several other crashes had also been reported on the A30 throughout the morning. The force issued a statement, advising, “We ask motorists to take extra care during their journeys.”
