Nottingham Forest’s fan zone is set to be converted into a donation centre for a food bank in advance of the club’s upcoming Premier League fixture. Located at the City Ground, the fan zone will accept contributions before Forest’s match against Aston Villa this Saturday. Supporters are encouraged to bring donations of both food and essential non-food items, such as apparel, personal care products, and holiday presents, with the aim of assisting families facing difficulties during the winter season. Evangelos Marinakis, the club’s owner, stated that the organization intends to aid “the most vulnerable in our society” as part of its Home For Christmas initiative. The club announced that Mr. Marinakis has committed to matching the overall weight of all items contributed. Donors can deliver their contributions until December 20, after which the local food bank charity, Himmah, will distribute them. “At Nottingham Forest, we believe in the power of community,” Mr Marinakis commented. “Together, we can ensure that everyone feels the spirit of Christmas and knows they have a place to belong and call home.” “The Home For Christmas campaign represents Nottingham Forest’s dedication to its community, ensuring that the festive season is a time of connection, generosity, and joy for all.” Contributions to the Forest Food and Multi-Bank are accepted starting at 15:00 GMT on Saturday, and subsequently from 13:00 to 19:00 daily between Monday, December 16, and Friday, December 20. The collection point is accessible via the fan zone entrance, situated within The Brian Clough Stand car park on Scarrington Road. Uzair Hashmi, who leads fundraising and volunteering at Himmah, stated: “This partnership will have a transformative impact on the lives of thousands of individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet.” “The essential items donated are much more than just basic necessities; they provide dignity, hope, and a sense of security to those facing hardship.” Post navigation Hibernian and Aberdeen Draw 3-3 in Dramatic Scottish Premiership Encounter Callum Lang’s Key Role in Portsmouth’s Season Performance
