A cemetery in Nottingham, which had been closed since August due to an encampment on its premises, has now resumed operations, according to the city council. Rock Cemetery, situated at the intersection of Mansfield Road and Forest Road East, was temporarily shut down on August 12 after the arrival of a group believed to be experiencing homelessness. Nottingham City Council reported that individuals from the small encampment have since received assistance from Framework, a charity dedicated to aiding the homeless. An official representative for the council confirmed that the cemetery has reverted to its standard operating hours, from 09:00 to 15:00. The council had previously indicated that numerous complaints from visitors led to the “difficult decision” to implement the temporary closure.
