Dean McCullough, a DJ from Northern Ireland, has become the second participant to be eliminated from the reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The hosts, Ant and Dec, revealed the outcome of the public vote during Sunday evening’s broadcast, which had placed the Radio 1 DJ against former Irish boxer Barry McGuigan. McCullough expressed contentment about returning home, stating he had fully embraced the experience. During an interview on Monday morning with ITV’s Good Morning Britain, he remarked: “I did it for my mum to make her proud.” He participated in seven distinct challenges, having been chosen for the initial Bushtucker trial. Over the course of his stay in the camp, he successfully secured 33 stars. He was well-regarded by his fellow celebrities, recognized for his singing in the jungle and his ability to uplift spirits with his vibrant energy. Addressing hosts Ant and Dec, he stated: “I woke up this morning and I thought, ‘If I go today, I am over the moon.’ Because I’ve not missed out on anything … I’ve had the full experience.” He also commented that the experience differed significantly from his expectations. The DJ generated some controversy when he and another participant illicitly brought contraband, specifically tea bags, into the jungle. Currently, McFly’s Danny Jones is considered the frontrunner to be named king of the jungle, with the Reverend Richard Coles, Coleen Rooney, and Maura Higgins closely trailing.
