A car park in Northampton’s town centre has reopened after sustaining significant damage in a collision that led to two pedestrians being airlifted to hospital. St John’s car park had been closed since approximately 15:30 BST on 18 October, when it was struck by a black Seat Leon. On Swan Street, a man and a woman, both in their twenties, were hit by the vehicle before it subsequently collided with the car park structure. The driver, 23-year-old Joshua Coulton, of Military Court, Northampton, has pleaded guilty to charges, including causing injury by dangerous driving. His sentencing is scheduled for 2 December.
