Fire crews from nine stations responded to and brought under control a blaze that originated in a roof. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received the call concerning the semi-detached property on School Street, Stoke-by-Nayland, shortly before 18:45 GMT on Friday. The crews utilized four hose reel jets and an aerial water carrier to douse the flames, achieving extinguishment by 22:31. Personnel from nine stations across Suffolk and Essex, including Ipswich East, Woodbridge, and Colchester, arrived at the scene with blue lights activated. Essex Fire and Rescue Service verified that a member of its team suffered a minor injury, which paramedics subsequently attended to. It was further stated that fire crews would stay on site to “keep a watching brief in case of further hotspotting,” and an inquiry would be conducted.
