Nine Arrested in Doncaster Following Arson and Firearms Incidents

Nine individuals have been apprehended in Doncaster since Friday following a string of arson and firearms-related incidents. Law enforcement officers responded to three suspected arson incidents and four alleged firearms incidents. Additionally, a vehicle crashed into a structure on Mear Close, Askern, at approximately 21:30 GMT on Friday. This occurred only 12 hours after the same vehicle had been the target of an arson attack. South Yorkshire Police stated that efforts are underway to identify the individuals responsible for what they described as “mindless violence.” On Sunday, authorities were called to Lodge Road and Hawthorne Grove following reports of gunshots. Specialized firearms officers were dispatched to incidents at Wolsey Avenue and Manor Estate on that same day. The police force also addressed arson reports on Friday, specifically on Balfour Road, Bentley, and Kings Road, Askern. There have been no reported injuries linked to these occurrences.
