The National Football League (NFL) has issued a security alert to its players regarding a criminal network that is reportedly targeting their residences. Players have been advised to enhance their home security measures and exercise caution with their social media posts. This warning follows a series of recent burglaries, including incidents at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce last month. Additionally, a property owned by Dallas Cowboys’ Linval Joseph was targeted last week. An NFL security memorandum concerning this issue has been disseminated to team security directors and the players’ union. According to reports on the memo from the NFL website, it is understood that the criminal organization “use public records to find players’ addresses and conduct extensive surveillance.” “Then, by tracking team schedules and the social media accounts of players and their families, they wait until homes are empty – often during games.” Players have also been instructed to create the impression of occupancy when away from home, for instance, by leaving lights or a television on. When questioned about the break-in, Mahomes stated, “I can’t get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing.” He added, “But obviously something that you don’t want to happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself.” Post navigation Woman Pleads Guilty to Neglecting Son Before Alleged Murder Individual Charged with Woman’s Murder to Appear in Court
