Neilcott Construction has been chosen as the contractor to undertake the renovation of the Alexandra Theatre, located in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. Arun District Council has indicated that “significant progress” has already been made at the site. The detailed plans for the project are currently being finalized, with construction scheduled to commence before Christmas. The theatre is anticipated to reopen to the public in mid-2026. The reconstruction effort is projected to cost in excess of £15 million. Of this sum, £12.19 million will be provided by the central government, with the council contributing £3 million. Council leader Martin Lury stated: “We are delighted to have started works on the rejuvenation of Alexandra Theatre, the first of a series of projects which will transform Bognor Regis town centre over the next few years.
