National Express West Midlands has announced that digital student identification cards are now accepted on its buses. Through the use of a new application, students can now verify their eligibility for reduced fares on the local bus network in the West Midlands and Coventry, eliminating the need for a physical ID. The operator stated that the app displays essential information, including a photograph, university email, and verified student status, providing reliable confirmation of student standing. Adam Rideout, from National Express West Midlands, commented that this development enhances the passenger experience. The operator also confirmed its partnership with digital identity firm Yoti to enable the acceptance of these new digital IDs. Robin Tombs, Yoti CEO, remarked: “We’re delighted National Express West Midlands is the first to accept Student IDs, helping students prove their status and access discounted travel tickets more easily.” Post navigation Eight-year-old dies in e-bike fire after alerting siblings Company Schedules Test for 3D-Printed Underwater Habitat
