Jamie Murray secured the 33rd title of his professional career by winning the Swiss Indoors doubles final alongside John Peers. The pair had previously been seen in Shanghai earlier this season. The Scottish player, aged 38, and his Australian counterpart advanced through two qualifying rounds in Basel, concluding the week with a 6-3, 7-5 win over the top-seeded duo, Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic. This victory marked Murray’s second tournament success of the current season and his initial win with Peers since 2015, a period during which they had previously reached the finals of Wimbledon and the US Open together. The pair, who have accumulated seven titles since forming their partnership in 2013, navigated five consecutive match tiebreaks en route to the final match. “It was a crazy week for us,” Murray commented. He added, “We managed to battle through.” He further stated, “We’re super excited to win and have a strong finish to what has been a tough year.” Post navigation West Ham Manager Skinner Discusses Team Morale, Goal Scoring, and Player Denton Maresca Discusses Player Availability, Midfield Balance, and Team Philosophy Ahead of Manchester United Match
