Drivers across northern England have received a warning regarding possible weekend delays stemming from the transit of a 124-tonne vehicle, which is expected to occupy more than two lanes. Its movement commenced on Friday from its manufacturing site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, prior to its subsequent route along the M62, M66, A56, M65, M61, and M6, concluding at Tebay services in Cumbria. With a police escort, the 4.8 metre-wide generator is scheduled to proceed along the M6 to junction 40, continuing thereafter on the A66 and A595 until it reaches its final destination. Traffic England stated that the schedule for these movements was coordinated between law enforcement and the transport company.
