Motherwell Football Club has announced it will issue refunds to supporters who purchased tickets for last Saturday’s fixture at Ross County but were unable to attend. The Lanarkshire club had previously advised its fans against traveling on the A9 to Dingwall due to hazardous weather conditions. This decision by Motherwell follows Ross County’s reported unwillingness to provide refunds directly. As a result, the Fir Park board and the Well Society board collectively agreed to compensate the affected fans. Chief executive Brian Caldwell commented on the decision, stating: “We felt this was the right thing to do.” He further explained, “Lots of our supporters were left out of pocket through no fault of their own. We’re a fan-owned club and this is a spectator sport.” Caldwell concluded by emphasizing, “We want to ensure supporters feel valued and hopefully this is a small gesture they appreciate.”
