West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus has been issued an additional two-match suspension following his admission of a Football Association charge connected to his red card during last month’s Premier League match against Tottenham. The charge against Kudus stated he “acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence that he was sent off for,” resulting in a £60,000 fine alongside his prolonged suspension. This incident stemmed from Kudus’s involvement in an altercation with Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven, which led to his dismissal after a VAR review and an initial three-match ban. Furthermore, West Ham, known as the Hammers, has been penalized with a £30,000 fine for acknowledging a charge of “failing to ensure their players did not behave in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way.” In a statement, West Ham communicated: “Whilst the club is disappointed with the outcome, it respects the process that has been undertaken.”
