Residents of the island are encouraged to seek assistance for their mental well-being during the upcoming Christmas season. The Listening Lounge, an organization dedicated to aiding individuals aged 18 and above experiencing mental health challenges, stated that continuous online support is accessible through the digital mental health platform TogetherAll. Andy Weir, who serves as the director for Mental Health Services and Adult Social Care, confirmed that individuals would receive constant support. He emphasized: “Providing early mental health support is vital for people experiencing mental health difficulties. We know that Christmas time can be very difficult for some people – if you are struggling this Christmas, please seek support.” The Listening Lounge also provided key recommendations for maintaining mental health throughout the Christmas period, which encompassed: The service confirmed that its operational hours would continue to be from 10:00 to 20:00 GMT, Monday through Saturday. An exception is Christmas Eve, when it will operate from 10:00 to 18:00. The facility will not be open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year’s Day.
