Two individuals have appeared in court, facing charges of attempted murder, subsequent to a man being stabbed in Sheffield city centre. Wayne Atkinson, 32, and Brendon Atkinson, 29, are accused of attempting to kill Crushendae Campbell during an assault that occurred on Earl Street around 05:00 GMT on Sunday. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police stated that Mr Campbell, 29, remains hospitalized, but his medical condition is no longer considered life-threatening. Wayne Atkinson and Brendon Atkinson, both residing on William Street in Sheffield, were remanded into custody at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court. They are scheduled to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 13 December. Wayne Atkinson faces charges of attempted murder, assault, and possession of a bladed article, while Brendon Atkinson has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.
