The Medical Specialist Group (MSG) in Guernsey has named a consultant anaesthetist as its new deputy chairwoman. Michelle Le Cheminant will serve alongside Dr Steve Evans, the current chairman of the organization, which delivers emergency and elective specialist medical services throughout the Bailiwick. MSG indicated that this appointment is part of a “succession plan,” with the expectation that Dr. Le Cheminant will eventually assume the role of chairwoman, becoming the group’s inaugural female leader. Ms. Le Cheminant, who was born in Guernsey, stated her “absolute commitment” to ensuring MSG’s adaptation in the coming years to address the needs of an aging population within the Bailiwick. “It’s a challenging time in healthcare but I think we have the right team and the motivation to meet these challenges,” commented Dr. Le Cheminant, who previously attended Castel Primary School and Ladies’ College. Dr. Evans described Dr. Le Cheminant as a “valuable member” of MSG’s management board. He further stated: “I have no doubt that she will do a great job in this new role as we focus on delivering outstanding patient-centred services to improve the health of our island community.” Post navigation Man’s Spine Surgery Delay: Unable to Lift Head, Enduring Constant Pain Rugby Star Kenny Logan Leads Tributes Following Death of Friend with MND
