Mark Critchley, who reports on Manchester United for The Athletic, has expressed confidence in Partick Stewart’s suitability to provide robust leadership as the new chief executive officer at Rangers, citing his “track record” and “pedigree.” Stewart’s professional background includes an interim chief executive position at Old Trafford, part of an 18-year period in various boardroom capacities. His experience also spans roles within the FA, the Premier League, and the European Club Association (ECA), and he has served as an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Speaking on the BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast, Critchley stated: “Chief executives are like referees in that it’s probably best if you don’t notice them and you don’t know what they’re getting up to.” He continued, “But I think he’s got the track record, he’s got the pedigree.” Critchley further elaborated that Stewart “had the responsibility for maintaining relationships with key people at the Premier League, FA and Uefa.” He also highlighted Stewart’s work with the ECA, noting that “he’s somebody who has been in the room in big situations, even if you haven’t heard his name before.” Critchley concluded by asserting that Stewart possesses “the relevant experience, the necessary experience, and there’s no reason to think he hasn’t got the knowhow to do a job like this properly.” Post navigation Jersey Air Show Organizers Solicit Sponsors for Future Event Gloucester Relaunches City Loyalty Program Amid Decline in Shopper Numbers
