Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who transferred from Inter Milan for £47m in July 2023, has been presented with the Player Impact Award by Fifpro, the international players’ union, in recognition of his charitable endeavors. Onana established the Andre Onana Foundation, an organization dedicated to delivering complimentary medical care and surgical procedures to disadvantaged children and adults across Cameroon and other nations within sub-Saharan Africa. Over the last three years, medical professionals have conducted more than 1,200 operations through the foundation. The 28-year-old Onana expressed that he felt “a responsibility to give back and help others”. He further stated, “When I passed through Barcelona, Amsterdam and Milan on my way to Manchester United, I had people who helped me on that journey,” adding, “When I was down, they gave me a hand so that I could stand up. I’ve never forgotten the help I received.” Post navigation World Player of the Year Ellie Kildunne Extends Harlequins Contract Stockport’s Manager States Barry’s Future Is Beyond Club’s Influence
