Luke Shaw, a defender for Manchester United, has recommenced training activities following a three-month absence due to injury. Shaw, who was photographed in November 2023, last featured for the club in February 2024. The England international left-back, whose last appearance for the club was in February, incurred a calf injury in early August. His anticipated return was after the October international break; however, former manager Erik ten Hag reported that Shaw had experienced a “setback”. In February, Shaw suffered a hamstring injury, which prevented him from playing for the rest of the previous Premier League season. Despite this, he was chosen for England’s Euro 2024 squad and participated in the starting lineup for the final match against Spain, a defeat, having missed the initial group stage. During Manchester United’s 2-0 Europa League victory over PAOK on Thursday, Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount rejoined the squad after recovering from injuries. Additionally, Leny Yoro, a summer acquisition from Lille, has returned to training, although he has not yet made his competitive debut for the club due to a fractured foot sustained during pre-season. Interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy indicated that the club’s injury concerns are beginning to diminish. Van Nistelrooy stated, “Christian played 30 minutes and Mason also played.” He added, “It’s beneficial for us and I’m happy that they’re back. For the long-term absentees like Luke and Leny they are on the pitch with us.” Post navigation Scottish Premiership Weekend Preview: Form Struggles at Easter Road, Shankland’s Goal Drought, and Docherty’s Challenge Northampton Chairman Confirms Ian Sampson as Managerial Candidate
