According to Corriere dello Sport (in Italian), Manchester United is reportedly competing with Juventus, Liverpool, and Arsenal for the acquisition of 24-year-old Lille striker Jonathan David. Furthermore, United is expected to rekindle its pursuit of Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, valued at £70 million, as the Merseyside club is reportedly unable to offer a new contract to the 22-year-old England international, as reported by the Mail (subscription required). Lastly, Teamtalk indicates that United is also monitoring 17-year-old Sporting forward Geovany Quenda, who has also attracted attention from Manchester City and Liverpool. Arsenal, a fellow Premier League club, has engaged in discussions with Quenda’s representatives.
